Partnerships with other Schools

Montbelle Primary School works collaboratively with several other schools within Greenwich across the education sector which include Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools. The aim and shared values of our schools, who together form the Greenwich Community Schools Partnership, is to support all of our families and children to enable youngsters to thrive and be successful learners. We support each other as established schools to drive school improvement and develop innovative approaches to education.

Why do we work together?

Whilst we benefit from being a maintained local authority school we also recognise the power of working together to secure the best possible outcomes for our children and the continued development of teaching and learning through staff collaboration and CPD. The schools share a vision and drive to create high quality and meaningful education for our children and the best way for that to happen is to look to continuously learn from others. 

What do we do?

We meet together regularly to ensure that good practice is shared and professional discussions provide a shared understanding of the priorities for the children in our schools. From these discussions, we collaborate together in a range of ways to continuously improve all the schools in the group. 

We have joint training programmes which allow teachers at all levels to work in collaboration to improve their own knowledge and develop their pedagogy. This includes our work as a PTI hub and the network meetings for our subject leaders. This gives leaders the forum to work together to benchmark standards and look for ways to further improve our curriculum offer. 

Peer reviews have been carried out with facilitation from external providers, supporting school leaders to identify areas for improvement. We also work together as part of a Community Interest Company to allow us to organise procurement for the group, securing best value as we work together.
