GDPR

On Friday 25th May, new data protection regulations become law – these are known as the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and are national regulations that all organisations who collect and use personal information have to adhere to. All information relating to pupils, parents/carers and staff that the school collects is already handled securely and within legal requirements. However, the new regulations will mean making some changes. One such amendment relates to our newsletter, Montbelle Matters. We distribute the newsletter toparents/carers electronically using email addresses previously provided to the school. In line with the new GDPR regulations, we will be closing the current email circulation list used to circulate the newsletter and we will open a new list that parents/carers will need to sign up to. Please look out for further information in next week’s newsletter and on our website, advising you how to opt back in to the email circulation list.

REMEMBER: If we do not receive specific permission from you to use your email address to circulate school notices, you will stop receiving them electronically and we will have to revert back to sending home paper copies.
